Hot Hair Colors You'll Want to Steal in 2022

We're about to start a new year. Why not get it off to a fresh start with a new look? Beauty industry experts have predicted that 2022 will be dominated by darker hair colors. While darker hues are typically confined to winter months, this year they're likely to continue throughout all seasons. Let's take a look at some of the trends you can expect to see in 2022.

Chocolate Brown

Brunette hair will be all the rage in the coming year, and chocolate brown will be among the top choices. Lowlights and highlights can be added to vary the shade quite a bit and add a lot of depth and dimension. To keep this color low maintenance try balayage highlights in lighter shades of brown. Hues of tan or copper would be good choices.

Mushroom Blonde

Even blondes are going darker for the new year. Mushroom blonde is a shade of very dark blonde with light brown and gray highlights. This is the perfect look for fair-haired gals who want to darken their color without going too dark.

Dark Red

There's no color quite so striking as dark ruby red in the middle of winter, and we're already seeing an increase in demand for rich burgundy and deep copper tones. Red is by no means a low-maintenance color, but we think it's worth the upkeep.

Cool Black

Cool black is a neutral color that looks great with any skin tone. With lighter skin tones black hair provides a stunning contrast to your skin that looks simply amazing. If you're worried that the black may be a bit too harsh, add some white face-framing highlights to soften the look.
